Meet Recap

West Covina’s girls tennis team finished the season strong, winning 11 sets to take their match against Los Altos. Nicole Villa took all three of her sets, Mariam Lora took two and she sent her third set to a tiebreaker, and each of the doubles team won one each. Taylor Valenzuela won all three of her sets 6-0, and dominated the season with the best individual record of any player in the league, going undefeated in every set she was scheduled to play, 30-0. An extraordinary accomplishment in her senior year for Taylor Valenzuela. West Covina finished the regular season with a marked improvement from last season, getting a very satisfying three wins in league play, and five wins overall.
