Meet Recap

The West Covina High School Varsity Boys Cross Country Team claimed the Hacienda League Championship on Tuesday, November 1st at Bonelli Park. The top five runners scored 18 points, just 3 points shy of a perfect score, to end their season with a win-loss record of 20 and 0. Senior Oscar Chavez remained undefeated in league and clenched the individual league championship title – earning him the Hacienda League MVP award. Seniors John McGrath, Josh Ramos, and Evan Potts, along with junior teammate Issac Granados finished 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th respectively, thus earning Hacienda First Team honors. The final leg of the West Covina team was junior Christian Guerra who finished 30th.
